Marianne Evelyn Faithfull, born on 29 December 1946, is a renowned English singer, songwriter, and actress with a career spanning over five decades. Her early career in pop and rock music during the 1960s was overshadowed by her battle with drug abuse in the 1970s. During the first two-thirds of that decade, she only produced two relatively unnoticed studio albums.
